whatta show! season2

there are a lot of reasons to love the second season of The L Word. carmen, alice and dana finally together, helena, dramatic, dylan, funny, touching, and the list can go on... and the series also does a good job of exploring the lack of legal protections given to lesbian relationships through Bette and Tina's storyline, without being too preachy about it [afternellen].

i couldnt pick one or two favorite episodes ofthis season, i love it and theyre all great. hmmm, right now i do remember the episode where there's a lesbian cruise in the Caribbean. alice-dana, so funny! hehehe and lovable! and how could i ever forget the sexcapades of alice and dana?! from the time they continue to hide their attraction to one another until they broke up... and that fucking break my heart! sigh, that was in episode12 when alice becomes jealous when dana agrees to have dinner with her ex-girlfriend, lara. double sigh! but two thumbs for lara! i like lauren smith! she's fucking sexy in lie with me... u better see that film guys!

and the last episode, lacuna, was more than awesome! it made me cry. i dont like jenny so much but i feel for her this season. especially when she reached breaking point over her painful childhood memory, damn that scene in the bathroom with shane. sniff!

Overall, the second season of The L Word mostly lives up to its potential, offering storylines that are alternately controversial, humorous, challenging, emotional, and frustrating, even if they're also occasionally disappointing.
For lesbian and bisexual women used to seeing only tiny slivers (and usually stereotypical ones) of our lives on television, The L Word offers a welcome respite--where for 50 minutes a week, the world, however flawed, looks something like our own [afterellen].
